Not that it matters... but here are my picks

Not that it matters but here are my playoff picks...

YANKEES vs. TIGERS

This will be a massacre. The only hope for the Tigers is they steal a game in the Bronx and beat up Randy Johnson.
If they wanted to miss the Yankees, all they had to do was beat the Royals once this weekend. Too bad.

TWINS vs. A'S

Will probably be the best baseball as the two deepest pitching staffs in baseball face off. Zito vs. Santana should be a pitcher's fan's dream. Watching Mauer and Morneau play on the big stage will be fun too. Funny, I thought small revenue teams playing in ugly football stadiums weren't supposed to be able to compete!

Like it matters, here are my NL Picks:

METS vs. DODGERS

A month ago, I thought the Mets were going to steamroll their way to the NL Title. But with their pitching staff beat up and the Dodgers with the World Series ready rotation of Maddux, Lowe and Penny... I smell upset. It will be bizarre to see Greg Maddux face Tom Glavine in the playoffs and the Braves not be involved.

PADRES vs. CARDINALS

If a playoff series is played and nobody watches, will it count? The Cardinals can't pitch, they have no closer and nobody besides Pujols can hit. The Padres should get revenge for losing to St. Louis in 1996 and last season.

ALCS PICK:
YANKEES vs. TWINS

The Twins were better equipped to beat the Yankees in a best of 5 series where Santana's two starts would give the Yankees no room for error. But in a best of seven, I think there is no stopping the Yankees

NLCS PICK:
PADRES vs. DODGERS

This year has been Trevor Hoffman's Hall of Fame coming out party. It will continue when he stands on the Dodger Stadium mound, arms in the air, celebrating the National League Pennant

WORLD SERIES

YANKEES vs. PADRES

Look out Yankees... the Padres now have former Red Sox hero Dave Roberts. Better hold him on this time!
They will.

Believe ME, I don't want this prediction to come true!
